450SL

Mercedes-Benz 450 SL was a model in the Series 107 line of roadsters. That family was part of the greater Mercedes-Benz SL-Class of model years 1971 to 1985. The 450 SL itself, however, a cabriolet (convertible) and hardtop duo, was offered from 1971 to 1980.

It had an eight-cylinder engine capable of shelling out 225 horsepower, and the motor was mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The model was distinguished from its siblings, though, by the discretion of its front spoiler, which attached to the front apron's rear lower end and helped circulate air around the radiator. It was replaced by the Mercedes-Benz 500 SL in 1980.
