"Stroke Eight" sedans, they incorporated in-line, six-cylinder engines capable of 160 horsepower, and you could get either a four- or five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. The third is part of the Mercedes-Benz Series 123 (dubbed W 123 V 28), and it debuted in 1975 with a 156 horsepower I6 engine. It paired with either a four-speed manual or a four-speed auto transmission. The latter was retired in 1981.
