380SEL
The Mercedes-Benz 380 SEL was an early Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan and a member of the greater Mercedes-Benz Series 126 lineup. It came out in 1981 and was offered until 1985.
There were actually two cars within the model nomenclature: a "base" 380 SEL and a special protection version, both with the same specs: a V8 engine with a light-alloy block and a four-speed automatic transmission. Both cars were capable of 218 horsepower until 1981, when their output was reduced to 204 horsepower. Other features included a semi-trailing arm rear axle and a front-wheel suspension with twin control arms and zero steering offset.
