The final two are part of Mercedes-Benz Series 116 and Mercedes-Benz Series 126, respectively (V 116 E 28 and V 126 E 28, respectively); they ran from 1974 to 1980 and 1980 to 1985 respectively. The first had a four-stroke I6 engine, plus two overhead camshafts and either Bosch D-Jetronic or Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injectors, depending on the year. The engine mated to either a four- or five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed auto. The second had similar engine, cam, fuel-injection system, and gearbox specs.
