280S

The Mercedes-Benz 280 S was a model in the Mercedes-Benz Series 108 line. The family ran from 1965 to 1972, but the model itself debuted in 1968, succeeding the Mercedes-Benz 250 SE. It incorporated a 2.8-liter, in-line, six-cylinder engine that delivered 140 horsepower with a carburetor or 160 horsepower with fuel injectors. You could choose either a four- or five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed auto. Features included a double-wishbone front suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and steel wheels. Power steering was optional, as were alloy wheels after 1970.
