Mercedes-Benz 240 D was a model in the Mercedes-Benz Series 115 line. It consisted of the "Stroke Eight" sedans that ran from 1973 to 1976. The 240 D base model had an in-line, four-cylinder diesel engine capable of putting out 65 horsepower.
